As a partner, your open roles can be featured on the Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) Job Board, where thousands of qualified candidates actively search for opportunities every day. Staff will connect your organization’s careers page to the job board to sync job openings. Your jobs will be discoverable by thousands of highly qualified, military-affiliated job seekers including transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses.

How the Setup Works
Most partners are able to connect quickly using their existing careers page or job board. Here’s the list of options through which our staff will attempt to form a connection:
- Partner’s website (requires a compatible web page using the industry standard Google JobPosting schema)
- Indeed (limited cases)
- Other compatible ATS systems and job boards (by request)
A successful aggregator connection will add 10 jobs on the first day and will continue syncing and adding more jobs daily.
XML Feed
Partners with a large volume of openings may prefer to work with their technology team to supply an XML feed URL to post jobs to Job Board. A successful XML feed will add up to 1,000 jobs on the first day and will continue syncing and adding more jobs daily.
XML Common Questions:
- Will an XML file attachment work? Generally no, the XML must be a live feed URL. If that is the only option, contact the Digital Team through the Job Board Contact Us Form and we will discuss options.
- What if my XML has a logon and password? Again, contact the Digital Team through the Job Board Contact Us Form and we will discuss options.
- What about an RSS feed? Yes, RSS feeds utilize the XML format and should work fine for aggregating jobs to the job board.
Keeping Listings Up to Date
Jobs imported by an aggregator (scraper or XML feed) will automatically disappear from the job board in one of the following ways:
- Job removal from source site by employer
- Job expiration
- Default expiration is 30 days
- Auto delete – every few days the job board will delete expired jobs
- Manual removal (very rare)
Tracking the Impact
To help you understand the value of the partnership, Hiring Our Heroes tags web traffic from the Job Board to your jobs pages with the UTM “HiringOurHeroes” so you can clearly see which candidates are coming from the HOH Job Board. If, for some reason, your organization needs to leave that off, please let your POC know or send a message to the Digital Team through the Job Board Contact Us Form.
