Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for a position in Troy, AL. This role is responsible to the Program Manager for day-to-day operations of a work group / team, including status on quality, performance, and schedule. All functions and job duties assigned to Performance Management Team (PMT) Leader, include, but are not limited to:
Planning and assigning work to teammates.
Tracking and documenting attendance.
Tracking and documenting performance metrics.
Building effective relationships within the team through team building and recognition.
Ensuring the facilities of an inclusive workplace.
Daily supervision of a work group / team.
Ensuring that goals are accomplished, amended, and set according to Program requirements and that all teammates in the work / group are adequately trained and prepared for work.
Working closely and cooperatively with ESH to ensure that safety and environmental policies and procedures are followed.
Assist in the development of strategies and the coordination of activities to increase throughput and reduce inefficiencies on a regular and recurring basis.
The role will require leadership of process improvement activity throughout the idea lifecycle. This will entail shepherding improvement ideas through the implementation phase.
Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/combined education.
Must obtain an interim clearance prior to starting and have the ability to obtain a secret clearance.
Working Knowledge of MS Office Software and Systems.
Proven ability to manage cost, quality, and schedule metrics.

**Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.
Desired Skills:Six or more years of related experience.
Manufacturing and/or defense industry experience.
Ability to provide Leadership and obtain Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
Working knowledge and previous experience managing cost, quality, and schedule metrics.
Supervisory experience, ability to maintain good employee relations within a team.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
