The Principal Industrial Engineer, Supply Chain will serve as a subject matter expert and thought leader for the Engineering Team while leveraging engineering and project management skills to define and lead implementation of large-scale automation and robotics solutions targeting our short and long-term strategic transformational goals. The Principal Industrial Engineer is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and developing solutions that will facilitate continuous improvement in productivity, capacity, safety, and quality within Lowe's Supply Chain and Distribution teams. This role leads and manages multiple projects at a time across many cross functional stakeholders while managing effective communications to Engineering and Senior Leadership. It will be critical for this Principal Industrial Engineer to serve as a Leader for our organization: building trust within the Engineering Team, amongst cross functional project teams, and with project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Ideate, develop, manage, and oversee the execution of multimillion-dollar automation and robotics enterprise improvement projects to drive operational excellence and transformation throughout the entire SC Distribution Network.
- Utilize continuous improvement methodology; assess key performance indicators; establish project objectives; drive short and long term strategic plans to meet critical timelines; track and report on post-project successes and impacts to the business to measure progress in achieving results and creating accountability.
- Lead internal and external cross-functional project teams and stakeholders from across the supply chain.
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external executive stakeholders across multiple projects.
- Manage several enterprise scale technology and automation projects at once and while providing technical leadership for large scale projects.
- Communicate with and influence key decision-makers and executives within the organization.
- Benchmark industry studies, partner with key vendors, build business cases for, and recommend new automation and robotics technologies, equipment, and material handling solutions, all to lead transformative solutions.
- Leads ideation and implementation of large-scale automation and robotics programs.
- Gathers and analyzes data and elements of existing DC network to develop innovative solutions to operational issues and provide recommendations to improve operations.
- Lead facility layout and network design and ergonomic studies to increase productivity while maintaining safety.
- Develop network financial cost benefit analyses and financial models to support requirements and designs of project solutions.
- Work in an ambiguous environment while driving thought leadership throughout the lifecycle of a project.
- Acts as manager, mentor, and advisor to other engineers and provides training and development to peers as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field and 7 years of experience in Industrial Engineering or Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field and 5-7 years of experience in retail distribution with an emphasis on a productivity and performance-based culture
- 5-7 Years 7 years Experience leading and integrating large scale automation and robotics technologies.
- 5-7 Years 7 years Experience in project management; business case development and capital justification; Change management.
- 5-7 Years 7 years Experience in managing, growing, and influencing high-visibility key relationships with core customers, stakeholders, and leadership at all levels of the organization.
- 5-7 Years 7 years Experience in adapting and integrating new technology and automation in a complex supply chain environment.
- 5-7 Years 7 years Experience in driving new ideas and technology in a complex and dynamic supply chain setting.
- 5-7 Years 7 years Experience working with a warehouse management system; presenting complex data
