Intuit’s mission is to power prosperity around the world for consumers, small businesses and the self-employed. The Intuit Brand and Transformation group brings that mission to life through high-impact and transformative experiences around the globe all designed to shape, showcase, and demonstrate the power and meaning behind the Intuit ecosystem. We inspire customers with events like QuickBooks Connect and galvanize our 14,000+ employees around what matters most to our customers, utilizing best-in-class storytelling. This cross-functional, high-performing team serves as a center of excellence for the company and includes experts across experience design, strategic content, experiential learning, event production, experiential marketing, and more.
Our customers have gone through and continue to go through transformational moments now as they start to shape what prosperity looks like to them in this new world. As a company that is both customer-centric and value-driven, we believe we always need to be connected to our strategy, culture and customers in order to create truly transformational experiences. We are looking for a seasoned design strategist that can both uncover and activate the most important customer insights as well as drive key strategic experiences that bring these insights to life. This could not be a more exciting time to join this team - as a design strategist in a storytelling team, you’ll join a cross-disciplinary team to create world-class experience.
- At least 7-10 years’ experience in design-thinking, strategy, product storytelling or related fields.
- Design thinking is in your DNA. It isn’t just a process to you, it’s just the way you work. You have a track record of scrappy (not crappy!) prototyping, piloting, and experimenting to get the right audience experience. It’s the way you facilitate intentional decision-making throughout the process.
- You thrive in challenging situations because you can quickly spot what the team needs and help them navigate the creative process.
- A proven track record of influencing horizontally and managing a variety of stakeholders
- You don’t shy away from ambiguity and instead can adapt quickly in a world where things are very fluid.
- Experience and passion for galvanizing large organizations/teams around insights, themes or POV.
- Expert in generative research methodologies and killer synthesis skills to get to clear, actionable insights.
- Exceptional storytelling and communication skills. Comfortability with writing narratives and other types of communications.
- Lastly, at Intuit we truly value diversity. Have a super-power that makes you the person everyone wants on their team? We want to talk to you.
- Lead and coach cross-functional teams to drive projects from exploration all the way through execution.
- Partner with and influence senior leadership to effectively communicate strategy and manage executive stakeholders.
- Activate strategy into a meaningful world-class experience for both internal and external audiences, at-scale. What that could look like:
- Designing an innovation deep dive experience to help investors gain empathy for customers and internalize how Intuit solves their biggest problems
- Help 14,000 global employees understand how we are powering prosperity across the company
- Create an innovation narrative for external events and develop Intuit strategy and product keynotes for customer and partner audiences
- Use mastery of design thinking and facilitation to both define and activate strategic intent throughout the creative process.
- You’re not only a pro at identifying and uncovering customer problems and paradigm-shifting insights but also have the proven ability to activate insights throughout the creative process; from crafting the creative brief all the way to concept creation.
- Ability to see the big picture, narrow to the right story, for the right audience, at the right time.
