The Sr. Mgr-Merchandising Operations owns strategic oversight and execution for work and projects within a key functional area of Merchandising Operations. The Sr. Manager leads a team of individual contributors and managers that executes the processes and projects within a functional area. The Sr. Manager is responsible for developing and executing new processes and projects. Key functional areas include Vendor/Item Onboarding, Reporting, Operational Services, Product Content, Data Governance and Tech Enablement. Responsibilities may vary based on the area of work.
What You Will Do:
- Analytics-Key strategic influencer - assist with defining the segmentation. Define the solution reporting/capabilities required. Providing direction/recommendations and collaborating with DACI/IT
- Building Relationships- Develop organization wide partnership; high degree of acceptance, recognition, trust and influence with others; ability to reach a win/win; proactively network stakeholders.
- Communication-Review, adjust, and approve communications in partnership with the Merchandising Communication team. Directly liaisons with the Sr Leadership of their customer team.
- Issue Resolution-Handles the highly complex issues and partners collaboratively with peers to resolves these issues. For ongoing issues, work to do root cause analysis on issues.
- Training/Development-Works with Mgrs on succession planning, development and identifies training gaps in team. Works with HR/Talent COE on potential solutions. Strong mentor and coaching focus.
- Reporting- Defining requirements and expectations on KPI's by segment. Reaching out/making connections with teams what is being seen with the data (influence the news)
- Process Improvement- Initiates process improvement activities and streamlining, along with root cause analysis. Monitors status of processes.
- Technology Requirements- Gather customer data; input at enterprise level; prioritizes; customer data; partnership with tech/stakeholders.
- Project Management- Gather customer data; input at enterprise level; prioritizes; customer data; partnership with tech/stakeholders
- Own the relationship with international peers and drive enterprise direction for functional area.
- Merchandising & Vendor Engagement- Ensures positive engagement at the highest level; influence into segmentation; trusted partner (merchant & vendor). Face to the customer.
- Technology development – Providing oversight and collaborating on technology product solutions of requirements, adoption and communication
- Business Alignment-Focused on enterprise wide relationships
- Provides input and operational metrics that influence the Merchandising roadmap
- Maintains and refines intake and work assignment tools to ensure first time response resolution and smooth end user experience
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- 10 Years Relevant business experience
- 5 Years Leadership Experience
- 3 Years Experience in structuring and writing formal documents, developing and delivering group presentations, project planning, and/or crossfunctional collaboration
- Understanding of performance measures and financial systems and reporting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Degree - Business related
- Experience in Microsoft products (Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and relational business software
