As a Learning Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining training solutions that meet the learning requirements of a specific business or audience This role requires strong business knowledge of the financial services industry and the ability to integrate this knowledge into all work products. This role will support content builds primarily for, but not limited to, our US Businesses including Group Insurance, Individual Life Insurance and Retirement Strategies businesses.
The current employee work arrangement for this position may be Hybrid or Fully Virtual. While this position does not require your on-site presence on a regular basis, depending on business preferences, there may be occasions where you are required to be on-site at a Prudential office. There may also be the need for occasional travel for regional or national events, conferences or other business meetings
What you can expect:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Analyze the training needs to identify knowledge, skills, and abilities gaps in the target audience
• Engage and collaborate with appropriate stakeholders, Subject-Matter Experts (SMEs), control functions, and Marketing Review Unit (MRU)
• Develop and modify instructional curriculums and materials such as outlines, job aids, reference guides, PowerPoint presentations, and eLearning
• Record and produce engaging, informative video content that align with instructional goals
• Manage MRU submissions, ensuring compliance with content and disclosure requirements
• Partner with Senior Learning Specialists and/or other Learning & Development team members on large-scale initiatives
• Deliver and/or facilitate programs for new and existing staff as needed
What you’ll need:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
• FINRA SIE and Series 6 required or must be obtained within 180 days of hire
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, et al)
• Strong command of common authoring tools and course development methodologies (or the ability to rapidly learn)
• Demonstrated flare and keen eye for design and use of graphic elements to create engaging training products
• Working knowledge of adult learning theory and teaching techniques including a familiarity with training concepts, practices, and procedures
• Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to influence along with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and peers to deliver business results
• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
It’d be a plus if you had:
• Experience with Articulate 360, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Creative Cloud, Camtasia, Snag It
• Hands-on content development within the financial services industry
• Prior Training experience
• Financial Services experience

What we offer you:
Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $83,400.00 to $124,100.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
