THE WORK Performs all duties involving painting/finishing parts and/or equipment, Prepares, masks, sets up and finishes parts or equipment of any complexity in developmental/production shops while working to close decimal tolerances and complying with applicable government specifications; works from blueprints, sketches, verbal instructions and end-product specifications. Sets up controls and analyzes plating solutions and devises methods to obtain required thickness and quality of finish such as the treating of aluminum, prepared paints and lacquers, matching colors and mixing ingredients to provide specified spray finishes; applies fillers, surface and finish paints using spray gun;
develops, cuts and applies stencils as required; applies identifying information using silk screen processes; positions sprayed parts to bake or air dry; polishes,
buffs and performs other decorative operations using mechanical equipment or hand methods; packs and unpacks as necessary. May perform controlled spray
applications of special protective coatings of varying thickness on exposed highly complex and sensitive parts, devices or equipment in accordance with instructions.
May instruct or lead lower grade workers.

Basic Qualifications:Experience performing job duties by utilizing drawings, flow diagrams, sketches or verbal instructions. Qualified candidate should have technical school training. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
