Overview
ABM is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee a specialized team that will assist in the fabrication process of modular chiller plants, ensuring seamless coordination from initial plans to the final quality control (QC) inspection. This role involves managing process cleaners, painters, welders, and electricians to support the successful production of modular chiller plants. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence by effectively planning, scheduling, and executing all stages of the project while maintaining adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the activities of a multidisciplinary team that supports the fabrication process of modular chiller plants.
- Supervise and support process cleaners, painters, welders, and electricians to ensure high-quality production assistance.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, project specifications, and industry standards throughout the production process.
- Develop and implement policies to optimize team productivity and ensure the timely completion of projects.
- Inspect or direct inspections of work to confirm alignment with drawings, specifications, and quality expectations.
- Collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders to address scheduling adjustments and resource allocation.
- Conduct site orientations and training for team members and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with codes, permits, and safety regulations.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, including labor hours and expenses, to meet financial targets.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, addressing technical and non-technical concerns in a clear and concise manner.
- Provide end-user training for operational staff upon project completion.
Schedule:
This is a full-time, salaried position. First shift days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing fabrication, mechanical, and electrical projects.
- Proven experience overseeing fabrication or production processes involving multiple specialized teams.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, procedures, and industry standards, particularly in HVAC and modular equipment production.
- Familiarity with technical drawings, structural specifications, and job requirements.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret all aspects of contract documents, technical procedures, and industry regulations.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- PMP certification is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in computer systems for cost processing and scheduling.
- Highly organized with strong planning and time-management skills.
Pay rate: $90,000-$108,000
