About the Opportunity:
The Drilling Operator performs various drilling processes using Excellon drilling machinery.
What You'll Do:
- Reviews drill chart, Mylar and software and prepares appropriate materials for drill process including drill bits, back-up and entry materials, masking tape and tooling pins
- Sets up drill machine for operation by placing back-up and entry materials, drilling tooling holes on machine table and inserting pins and taping the appropriate areas
- Enters drill information into software to operate drill machines
- Drills registration holes for First Article and uses an x-ray machine to review hole alignment (registration); once verified, runs first panel and inspects cross section using microscope; once completed, performs drilling process for remaining jobs
- Routes coupons from panels to verify hole quality through cross-section analysis using microscope
- Maintains drill machine and tools
- Counts lamination stack-ups and calculates drill-depth and records as needed
- Perform other duties as required
What You'll Bring:
- 1-3 years of experience as a PCB Drilling Operator
- Ability to read and interpret documents including standard operating procedures, instructions and safety rules in English
- Ability to problem solve and communicate effectively
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated
- Ability to work overtime & adapt to fast-changing work environment
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
- 1-2 years of related experience using Excellon Drill Machine (Preferred)
In addition to frequent standing and walking, the work environment requires lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 25 pounds.
Schedule:
- 1st Shift (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
The actual compensation offered is based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
