Title:
Work Preparation SpecialistRole Intent
• responsible for work order preparation stages to ensure readiness before execution of the work .
• Developing detailed work packages that outline the specific tasks, resources, cost and timeline required to execute any given maintenance Work Order.
• Coordinates with Site Planners and Maintenance Advisors assuring quality technical CTRs requests and work orders are being planned, history recorded and closed out.
• Implement good Work Management processes and adherence.
Key Accountabilities
• Promotes a culture of open safety reporting and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve desired business results.
• Responsible for supporting Maint team requests for contractor support (CTR’s) from end to end, ensuring MA’s provide:- o quality of scope of work o accurate cost review / challenge against the supplied resources / equipment utilisation & materials o accurate durations
• Developing work packages based on identified scope of work. Ensure Work Orders and associated documentations are duly uploaded in CMMS ( Maximo) system and that work packages comply with safety regulations, scope specifications, and quality standards
• Identifying resource requirements for each task, including labor, materials, and equipment.( CTR /OR/PO etc)
• Assist line manager in contract management (for example, communications, performance reviews with contractor and the like)
• Documenting project progress, changes to work packages, and any challenges encountered during project execution.
• Participating in department meetings and providing input on planning and execution.
• Recommends work orders execution optimization opportunities the station Maint advisor & Maintenance Manager.
• Champion Continuous improvements (CI) by standardizing best practice activities across site and maintenance teams, o optimize Maintenance Strategy. o improvements to maintenance build. o optimize Materials Look-up and Staging.
Experience, Qualifications & Key Skills
• Above 8 Years experience in O&G industry (Preferable with IOC’s direct or contract)
• Technical degree or HNC certificate in engineering.
• Experience in a similar role would be beneficial
• Practical exposure to production facilities
• Proficient in CMMS tools (CMSS – Maximo /SAP)
• Awareness in Project management tools (MS Project)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Ability to to identify proper priorities of maintenance activities in a high activity environment.
• Driven to deliver continuous improvement.
• Strong bias for being proactive and getting results
• Strong understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team of Ex pats and Local nationals
• understanding of supply chain management process
• Experience in the following systems: o Outlook o Maximo o Power BI o Microsoft Excel o Driven to deliver continuous improvement.
Key Relationships / Stakeholders
• Work closely with the following roles to ensure day to day maintenance activities, maintenance projects and emergency maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently. o Facilities Maintenance Manager o Maint Planning/ Scheduling Lead o Maint Co-ordinators o Site Operation teams o Site Planning Team o BOC site execution teams o OTL o Operations Advisors o Discipline Advisors (MOC / Elec / Inst / RE & Wells) o Service Providers (Contractors) o PSCM, Material team for on time availability of material and ensure sufficient inventory levels.
