What does a successful Employee Benefits Manager – Retirement Plans do? At Fiserv, a successful Employee Benefits Manager – Retirement Plans ensures the seamless management, administration, and optimization of our company's U.S. retirement benefits, financial well-being and financial benefit programs. You will demonstrate expertise by efficiently managing the programs and aligning with the company's goals, and associate needs while ensuring compliance. As a self-starter, you will work both independently and collaboratively, contributing to a culture of excellence, innovation, and trust.
What you will do:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the company’s 401(k) plan and financial well-being and financial benefit programs.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of retirement plan contributions, enrollments, distributions, and participant inquiries.
Coordinate with payroll and HRIT functions to identify and test necessary changes to HRIS (Workday).
Ensure all retirement plans are compliant with federal, state, and local regulations, including ERISA, IRS guidelines, and DOL requirements and oversee the preparation and filing of necessary reports, including Form 5500, compliance testing, and annual audits.
Liaise with third-party plan administrators, investment providers, and retirement plan service providers to ensure efficient operation of the plans.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance retirement plan offerings, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
Develop and implement communication strategies to educate employees about retirement plan options and benefits.
Support the investment committee per direction of the secretary.
What you will need to have:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field and/or equivalent military experience.
5+ years of experience in employee benefits management with a focus on retirement plan administration.
Strong knowledge of retirement plan regulations, including ERISA, IRS, and DOL rules.
Experience managing 401(k) plans.
Experience with compliance reporting and fiduciary duties.
Expertise in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Experience with vendor management and relationship building.
