The Target Protein Sciences group, within Biologics Discovery, at Johnson and Johnson Innovative Medicine is looking for a hardworking and experienced scientist to drive membrane protein production efforts. We are a multifaceted Biologics Discovery organization, with a diverse and focused team of scientists committed to bringing the next generation of biotherapeutic molecules to patients.
We are looking for a highly motivated Scientist to drive internal and external efforts for membrane protein expression and optimization, purification, and production and characterization for supporting a robust biotherapeutics pipeline. The ideal candidate will have experience in molecular biology, protein biochemistry and cell biology. Applicants having a demonstrated track record with membrane protein production and purification will be most desirable.
The successful candidate should be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-team environment while supporting various programs across several different therapeutic areas. Additional knowledge in biologics discovery, immunology, oncology, or other human diseases would be a plus. Prior industry experience is advantageous but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support membrane protein expression and optimization, and purification.
- Conduct protein production, purification and characterization.
- Characterization and quality check of membrane proteins to support biotherapeutics development.
