Description:This position is for a Sr. level Technician whose primary assignment will consist of engineering hardware fabrication support, troubleshooting, testing and basic Laboratory operations responsibility, particularly in the area of military fiber optics. Some climbing on Ladders/Aircraft may be required as well as lifting up to 25 pounds, pushing and pulling of electronic equipment on carts. These responsibilities will include fabrication of fiber optic harnesses, electronic/electrical chassis, and mechanical rack fabrication using development engineering drawings. Ability to visualize and build electronic racks with minimal defects. Candidate must be capable of working independently and in a team environment, discussing technical issues with customers and working with vendors. Great customer service and interpersonal skills are highly preferred.
This position may be required to work Odd Shifts, Weekends, or traveling Off Site.
Basic Qualifications:Experience with Fiber Optics termination, Hand Soldering, and Cable fabrication.
Experience with Basic Electronic knowledge and Electrical Schematic interpretation
Desired Skills:Strong communication skills and customer service are required.
Fiber Optic termination, assembly, and basic understanding of fiber optic repair and troubleshooting. Hot Air Soldering. Electronic troubleshooting in test equipment, on aircraft, and in lab environments.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
