The Integrated Airborne Solutions (IAS) Division of the Airborne Systems Business Area of Leidos currently has an opening for a Maintenance Academic Instructor supporting the Army National Guard (ANG) Aviation Training Services and Operational Support (ATSOS) program in Annville, PA at Fort Indiantown Gap. Leidos is the prime contractor providing flight training, simulation training, classroom instruction and schoolhouse support activities including the One Army School System (OASS) integration, and Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) maintenance for platforms and simulation devices in use or anticipated to be in use by the Army National Guard.

Leidos is hiring a Maintenance Academic Instructor course instructor for MOS/ASI producing enlisted courses, professional military education courses for enlisted service members, and academic courses for UH-60 maintenance courses. All contractor Instructor will adhere with the unit instructor certification program IAW TRADOC series 350 regulations. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience supporting the ATSOS program.
THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)
Academic Instruction
Conduct daily academic instruction on regulations, publications, aircraft systems, and aircraft maintenance in accordance with approved Training Support Packages (TSPs).
Deliver instruction for Professional Military Education (PME) courses, including the Aviation Maintenance Advanced Leader Course (ALC), Aviation Maintenance Senior Leader Course (SLC), Flight Operations Advanced Leader Course (ALC), and Flight Operations Senior Leader Course (SLC).
Training Records Management
Practical Exercises and After-Action Reviews
Curriculum Development and Updates
Provide input for the development and revision of instructional materials, including Programs of Instruction (POI), Course Management Plans (CMP), Student Evaluation Plans (SEP), Lesson Plans (LP), Flight Training Guides (FTG), and Exceptions to Policy (ETP).
Daily Coordination and Task Management
Cross-Training
Policy and Regulation Compliance
Ensure compliance with applicable Army, National Guard, and AATS policies, procedures, and regulations.
Operational Reporting
WHAT SETS YOU APART (basic qualifications)
High School Diploma with 6 years’ of applicable experience or Bachelors’ Degree with 2 years’ of experience.
Prior academic instructor at the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE), U.S. Army Aviation Logistics School (USAALS), Army National Guard Aviation Training Site (AATS), or equivalent.
Instructor Training Course (ITC) or ABIC qualified; or successfully graduate from a AATS provided ABIC course within 3 months of contractor employee start date.
Must meet instructor qualification requirements as defined by the Aviation proponent and IAW TR 350-10, TR 350-70.
Recipient of aviation maintenance MOS qualification through an approved USAALS/AATS or other service equivalent course.
Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret security clearance.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $50,700.00 - $91,650.00
