The Sr Mgr, Competitive Intelligence manages a team responsible for tracking and reporting competitive intensity across Charter’s footprint, for both Residential and Small and Medium Business (SMB) segments. Supports a wide range of intelligence projects including competitor research, cross- functional team programs, and competitive SWOT analysis and developing creative tools to educate internal audiences with competitive knowledge. Works closely with Field Marketing to identify local level competitive tactics and trends, and monitors competitor websites, earnings calls, press releases and other publicly available intelligence sources.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Identifies, assesses, and sources intelligence from internal and external sources.
Manages the measurement of homes passed overlap for regional and local competitors.
Analyzes market share and flow share trending for all competitors, at local market level.
Assesses growth opportunity and threats by geography and product.
Manages the tracking of competitor internet speeds to identify entry-level speeds, max speeds and presence and growth of gigabit competitive footprint.
Analyzes offers and promotional tactics for national, regional and local competitors.
Manages the tracking of media activity, including weight levels, spending and messaging.
Develops profiles of competitors to include footprint, product set, internet speed, marketing tactics and channels employed, trend of historical performance and growth strategies.
Assists marketing and legal teams in developing and countering competitive claims.
Assists with the budget and quarterly and monthly forecasts.
Keeps abreast of key industry and product trends.
Gains an understanding of business needs and researches and recommends solutions.
Maintains a focus on customer excellence and links to business challenges and objectives with tactical execution and results.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Effective MS Office skills, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word- with high level of proficiency in Excel
Effective organizational skills and attention to detail
Proven ability to attract, develop and manage staff
Proficiency with Think Cell and Tableau preferred
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Management, Finance, Statistics or Economics or equivalent work experience
MBA preferred
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
Marketing or Strategic Planning experience - 6-7
Management experience - 3+
