GM is seeking engineers with a complement and collection of skills to join the company to be a part of our amazing transition. As a System & Subsystem HIL Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for integrating the simulation framework with bench wiring, loads, & instrumentation, along with ECU hardware, software, and calibrations. Additionally, you will observe, report, & facilitate the quick resolution of issues for various vehicle domains such as Electrification, Active Safety, Chassis, and Body Controls. You will work to develop new bench capabilities, improve simulation models, make efficiency & process improvements, and implement automation.
You will work closely with management, architects, business analysts, developers, and project managers to assist teams through task management for the successful and on time delivery of projects with the highest quality as possible. You will assist in maintaining optimal resource utilization of dSpace, ETAS, Vector equipment & licenses calling out constraints and available bandwidth when appropriate. You will model the GM behaviors to help build a winning culture & contribute to the overall company beyond our direct mission.

Specific design and build activities that you will be responsible for include:
- Design, Implement, and Test Novel HIL Bench Solutions, Simulation, and Instrumentation for new vehicle features and technology.
- Develop test configurations, and real-time Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) Simulation Models using Matlab/Simulink through collaboration with bench users.
- Adapt and Integrate Chassis, Active Safety, Electrification, and Propulsion System controllers and Plant Models with HIL bench.
- Develop and/or adapt Vehicle Dynamics simulation models (e.g. CarSim, VeDyna, or ASM-VD) with other plant models for bench use.
- Develop solutions for instrumentation and simulation of Electronic Controls Unit (ECU) sensors and actuators.
- Develop HIL test automation and scripting solutions to enhance testing efficiency.
- Train and support lab users on Hardware-In-the-Loop bench usage.
- Definition of bench and test property technical requirements.
- Electrical design integration and verification.
