The Core Cleaner is responsible for cleaning exterior/interior of the building
Position Summary
Responsible for cleaning exterior/interior of the building, parking garage, removing debris, stocking of supplies, and keeping areas neat and tidy. Vacuum and buffs floors, shampoo carpets, empty trash receptacles, and replace lining of trash cans. Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks. Respond to business management needs in a timely and effective manner and must be flexible in performing assigned duties by supervisor. Reliability and flexibility related to work schedule.
Pay: $18.10 an hour
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
- This position’s primary schedule and job function will take place Monday-Friday. Event and weekend coverage will be determined on an as-necessary basis.
- This position may or may not be bonus eligible depending on eligibility criteria being met.

Primary Responsibilities
- Report to supervisors for tasks that may include, but are not limited to:
- Responding to building requests as instructed by building management and/or ABM management
- Properly maintain exterior of the building from ground level and monitor garden areas
- Operate pressure washer machinery to clean surfaces
- Operates equipment such as pick-up trucks, scrubbers, backpack blowers, power tools, hand tools, and related equipment. Performs operational checks and reports needed repairs
- Monitor all areas for cleanliness
- Empty waste receptacles and sweep surrounding areas
- Set out rain mats on rainy days along with Wet Floor signs
- Perform high and low detail dusting
- Monitor and maintain escalators and elevator cabs, including floors
- Wipe down counter tops and clean any spills, as needed
- Clean restrooms and locker rooms
- Check dispensers for supplies and refill as needed
- Restock carts and closets at the end of each shift
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using chemicals, sponges, and squeegees
- Sweep and vacuum floor as needed
- Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 45 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (5) hours per day
- Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises
- Follow all safety and personnel rules and regulations
- Assists in all aspects of event day preparation and execution
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Ability to work with other crew members and be able to take direction from Supervisors
- Ability to clean and maintain carpets and hard surface floors, including stripping, scrubbing, buffing, waxing, refinishing, sealing and spot cleaning
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to respond to work orders via smart phone
- Effective interpersonal skills to communicate with customers and all levels of management
- Ability to perform all physical aspects of the above job duties
- Previous experience preferred but not required
- Perform other duties as assigned
