We are seeking an Electrical Turnaround Planner within our Project Resource and Outage Support (PROS) Group preferably located onsite in Pasadena, TX, but has flexibility for other regions. This position requires the ability to travel 25-40% depending on assigned workload. This is a diverse group that supports Industrial Gases (IG) North America capital projects, strategic planning, turnaround (TAR) planning, and turnaround execution. This allows our team to provide specialized services and additional capacity for infrequent events to operational assets. This role reports to the PROS Technical Planning Manager.
The primary responsibility of the Electrical Turnaround Planner is to develop plans for the safe and efficient execution of turnaround electrical scope. The Electrical Turnaround Planner will assist in developing work scopes, providing labor duration estimates for the schedule, develop job packages, order materials, and support execution. You will constantly collaborate with all site personnel, contracted crafts, equipment suppliers, tool rental providers, engineering, and functional support services. The performance measures of turnarounds include Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) performance, Reliability of the assets, Completion on schedule, and spending within budget.
Required Skills / Abilities:
Responsible for planning of scheduled turnaround activities for hydrogen facilities with high standards for safety and quality of workmanship.
Review drawings, specifications, company standards, equipment manuals, etc. to determine scope of work.
Develop scope for assigned work orders within the outage, identifying secondary and/or support disciplines required.
Create detailed planning activities in P6 for each work order utilizing planning templates as applicable. Activities include individual tasks, manpower, durations, and assigned discipline.
Provide daily schedule updates during outage execution.
Create job planning packages for each work order per Air Products guidelines for both internal and external distribution, e.g. bid events, contractor field personnel, etc. Packages may include pictures, P&IDs, BOMs, tools, safe work procedures, applicable standards, QC requirements, etc.
Support Air Products Management of Change process, recognizing plant changes and following through on all documentation and recommendations in a timely manner.
Maintaining communication with craftspeople, contractor representatives, and materials suppliers.
Drive safety in execution activities by assigning responsibility for Air Products basic safety program (BSP) as well as any improvements or audits as required by scope.

Qualifications and Licensing Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
3+ years’ experience in Electrical package planning.
5+ years of Electrical journey-level maintenance experience and/or electrical maintenance planning.
5+ years’ experience in maintenance and/or engineering disciplines, preferably with experience in industrial outages, LV & HV Motors, heaters, power distribution equipment, and general preventative maintenance on various electrical components.
Ability to read and interpret electrical & instrumentation drawings and PID’s.
Experience in preparing and reviewing test / work packages for issuance to the field.
Able to work without close supervision.
Effective and strong communication skills.
Organized, focused, and able balance multiple priorities and parallel tasks.
Understands standards as outlined by Air Products and regulatory agencies.
Works professionally and collaboratively with co-workers, supervisors, management, support personnel, program participants, and business-related persons.
Uses positive and constructive demeanor toward resolution of problems and conflicts.
Able to demonstrate remaining calm in demanding situations.
Ability to work within and promote a teamwork philosophy.
Proficient in the use of computers and business software, including Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook) SAP, Primavera P6.
SAP and Primavera P6 is a plus.
Valid Drivers' License and good driving record required.
Work Hours & Benefits:
Typical work week is 40 hours with extended work schedule during turnaround execution up to 84 hours per week. Travel is required across the U.S. and Canada. The work environment is diverse from an office setting to onsite at Air Products operating facilities.
