Responsibilities include supporting the development and implementation of comprehensive communication strategies and public affairs plans to support the Cardiopulmonary (CP) Therapeutic Area (TA). Responsibilities include disease awareness and market shaping campaigns, patient relations, and data communications activities for in line and pipeline assets, ensuring flawless collaboration to drive a comprehensive and aligned approach with global and regional partners, fostering strong stakeholder engagement and effectively positioning J&J as a leader in cardiovascular care.
The Director will serve as a strategic communications partner to TA colleagues across R&D and the Global Commercial Strategy Organization (GCSO) and sit on the CP Review Board and Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities
Market Shaping and Launch Readiness: Lead and deploy comprehensive market shaping and launch readiness plans for milvexian and macitentan 75, working with global commercial colleagues and regional communications leaders to ensure consistent and compelling programming around the world.
Data, Milestone and Recruitment Support: Lead strategies in support of key data, regulatory and disease awareness milestones for portfolio programs, as well as clinical trial recruitment and retention support for milvexian. Includes collaborating closely with regional and sector communicators to ensure global approach to messaging and programming.
External Positioning: Develop creative materials that support the overall TA story, such as messaging, enhanced content for Company websites, presentations, identifying and coordinating speaking engagements for R&D leaders, and materials used in ongoing recruiting efforts. Includes supporting executive thought leadership and collaboration with key business partners, such as Investor Relations, to drive external interest.
Internal Communications and Employee Engagement: Deliver a centralized communication program that drives employee engagement and retention, increases awareness of key business priorities, and encourages confidence in our growing portfolio/business. Leverage key channels which include news articles, intranet site, bi-annual townhalls and various internal initiatives with a focus on reaching R&D, the global commercial organization, supply chain, regional commercial organizations and the larger Innovative Medicine and J&J organizations.
Communication Liaison: Serve as the global lead contact, collaborating on key initiatives, providing updates, ensuring an aligned strategy, and identifying issues/opportunities that should be addressed more broadly, building strong relationships with these colleagues to cultivate trust. Craft materials for regional and local communicators’ use: toolkits and templates for products and disease awareness (approvals, new indications, disease area leadership, policy issues, etc.)
