This position is based out of Omaha, NE
Responsibilities
- Creation of data pipelines to move data from source applications to BI Platforms (SQL server, Teradata EDW, Data Lake, Snowflake).
- Review Data Integration (ETL/ELT) requirements and design ETL following design pattern standards and SDLC procedures established by Kiewit Technology Group.
- Extract data from various source systems such as database systems, file systems and cloud-based systems (e.g. API acquisition)
- Tests, Documents and Schedules the ETL Integrations.
- Plays an integral part of an agile delivery team comprising of product owners, project managers/scrum masters, cross functional IT team members including other reporting team members.
Qualifications
- Actively enrolled in high school with plans to pursue further education in the IT field.
- Awareness of database environments (MSSQLServer, Teradata, Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, Snowflake, etc.)
- Awareness of distributed systems and big data storage formats (eg DataLake, HDFS, Spark, ORC, Avro, Parquet)
- Passion for data analysis.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion to keep current and adapt to emerging technologies in the Data Engineering space.
