The Opportunity
As a dedicated Change Partner Senior P&C Transformation, you will play a key role in ensuring strategic initiatives are implemented with maximum effectiveness by ensuring stakeholder buy-in, employee adoption and overall organizational readiness. The team focuses on the people side of change and partners to create and implement change management strategies and plans that optimize employee adoption.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX; Plano, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Colorado Springs, CO; Charlotte, NC; Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What you'll do:
- Participates in or leads a cross-functional team of Change Management and readiness resources to understand, plan, manage and sustain change and ensure client success. Guides work performed by Change Management and partner resources assigned to a specific change effort.
- Partners with Change Management team to understand a change initiative, identify integration points and impacted audiences and assess the impact of the change.
- Leads work to create change management strategy to include sustainment plan. Consults on implementation of change plan and adjusts for resistance and acceptance of change.
- May develop change strategy and conduct change impact and readiness assessment to identify key changes or readiness gaps that will impact the organization; develop and execute change management activities to support the transition.
- Coaches and influences executive business owners to lead change in a highly matrixed organization. May mentor more junior change partners.
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
- Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- 6 years of directly related experience such as organizational change management, communication, organizational development, marketing, human resources and/or project delivery and accountability for complex tasks and/or projects; 2 years must include change management experience; OR if Advanced Degree, 4 years of related experience, as previously referenced and 2 years must include change management experience.
- Advanced knowledge of project management and/or change management function/discipline and demonstrated application of knowledge, skills, and abilities towards work products.
- Experience partnering for client's success, organizational savvy and politics and applying emotional intelligence, organizational savvy, and politics, overcoming resistance to change, and coaching/influencing leaders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to include ability to develop communications materials for multiple audiences.
- Understanding of project management methodologies delivery and principles.
- Working knowledge of risk and regulatory requirements.

- Expertise in Change Management Methodologies: Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and best practices tailored to technology transformations, especially within the insurance industry.
- Strong Communication Skills: Effective communication is crucial in guiding stakeholders through the transformation process, articulating the vision for change, addressing concerns, and ensuring alignment across the organization.
- Strategy to Execution: Develop a change management strategy aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives, while also anticipating and addressing potential challenges and obstacles. Ability to strategically execute on a plan and stay on task with critical transformation milestones.
- Analytical thinking: Experience administering change assessment surveys and compiling analytics with action plans to assess organizational readiness and communicate results with key stakeholders and leaders.
- Leading through Influence: Demonstrated success in fostering leader-led change and effectively managing stakeholders. Building relationships and managing stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executives, project teams, end-users, and external partners, is essential for driving buy-in and support throughout the transformation journey.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Given the dynamic nature of transformation, must be able to adapt quickly to changes, pivot strategies as needed, and maintain resilience in the face of uncertainty or resistance.
- Experience leading organizational culture shifts and effectively managing resistors to ensure transformational goals and organizational goals are achieved and success is sustained long-term.
- Experience working closely with 3rd party consultants.
- PROSCI certification.
- US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.

What we offer:
Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $103,450.00 - $197,730.00.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
