Strive On Logistics with FedEx Ground is hiring an Auto Mechanic/Delivery Driver. Strive On Logistics is a Fed Ex Contractor with 36 trucks dispatching up to 30 routes a day! We are looking to internalize some of our vehicle maintenance cost by adding a full time tire mechanic to our team. You would be operating out of the FedEx terminal at 2290 S Canal Road, Lansing MI 48917 and 6701 Portage Rd, Portage, MI 49002
The Job will require you to come in every morning and help with dispatch, load drivers trucks up and be a backup delivery driver just in case of a call in. If all drivers show up to run there routes you can go home then come back around 5-6pm once all truck return. Most of the Maintenance we are looking to internalize are tires, brake pads and oil changes. There will be a weekly vehicle Maintenance check list that will be required to be completed. You will also be responsible to communicate with all our mechanic shops giving them work orders that you don't have the ability to complete in the terminal.
We have purchased a 24ft trailer with tire balancer and air compressor generator, and have an account to purchase wholesale tire. Position will be expanded for future endeavors into oil change shops and full maintenance services.

Requirements:
- Drivers must be 21 years of age or older
- Drivers must have a valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Report
- Must be Licensed mechanic in state of Michigan per Secretary of State automotive regulation
- Drivers must be willing to submit to a background check
- Drivers must be able to physically manage packages up to 100 lbs
- Drivers must be able to work in all weather conditions
- Drivers must be able to pass a Drug Test and DOT physical exam (PAID BY EMPLOYER)
Shift:
- Morning for a few hours
- Second shift for a few hours
