Overview [ FedEx Ground Delivery Driver - ON LOCATION ]
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting goods and materials. This position requires a variety of driving skills, including experience with different types of vehicles and equipment. A successful Driver will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service.
Duties
- Operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks, flatbeds, and tankers, to transport goods safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit.
- Perform routine inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Comply with all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues as needed.
- Assist in the training of new drivers on company policies and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving; familiarity with moving trucks, tow trucks, or limousine services is a plus.
- Knowledge of operating forklifts or tractor-trailers is preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to address minor repairs or maintenance on vehicles.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.

Pay: $275.00 - $325.00 per day
