What does a successful SDET do?
A successful SDET is an integral member of the Scrum team, combining deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of business processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. They bridge the gap between development and quality assurance by leveraging their skills in both manual and automated testing.
What you will do:
- Support of the manual and automated tests of the JAVA application
- Establish a test-driven architecture based on the given test requirements
- Defining the tests already at the time of the business analysis
- Support of the business units in defining the tests in Cucumber
- Responsibility for the test execution as part of the sprint as well as support of the regression and integration tests
- Support with the creation of test cases
- Help with estimating test efforts
- Coaching other employees in the software testing
What you will need to have:
- Degree in computer science, business informatics, mathematics or comparable training or work experience
- 6+ years of experience in software testing of JAVA applications
- Good knowledge in the use of the following tools: Selenium, Cucumber, Postman, X-Ray, SOAP-UI, JMeter as well Jenkins, Gitlab, Git, Gerrit
- Basic Knowledge of a relational databases, ideally Oracle
- Sense of responsibility, ability to communicate and work in a team. Proactive, reliable action and assumption of responsibility in the team
- Strategic thinking as well as identifying potential for improvement in the application systems
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of MS-Office and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence)
What would be great to have:
- Knowledge of Fintech would be an advantage
