What does a successful Scrum Master, Advisor do?
An experienced Senior Scrum Master will help transition our business from its existing work practices to infusing a real agile understanding through the adoption of Scrum. As a dedicate Scrum Master you will train, coach, mentor and guide teams and leaders in Agile principles, Agile values, Scrum theory and practices. You must be a strong educator, motivator, facilitator and coach with excellent listening, communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills. You will ensure all Scrum events take place (time-boxed, positive, productive) so that the team can deliver high quality software development projects.
What you will do:
- Champion Agile Scrum, serving the Scrum Team, Product Owner, and Organization in Scrum adoption.
- Lead Agile Scrum workshops for both development and functional teams, as well as product owners and technology leaders.
- Coach teams in self-organization, cross-functionality and creating high-value Increments meeting the Definition of Done.
- Guide for effective Product Goal definition, Product Backlog management, Product & Release Planning
- Promote and advocate a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and accountability.
- Drive cultural change by championing an agile mindset and ensure the organization is at the forefront of industry best practices
- Have a better understanding of SAFe methodology and contribute to PI Planning meetings
- Leading 2 or more scrum teams and deputy of delivery manager (plannings, understanding of project commitments, ensuring delivery timelines)
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of experience working as a dedicated Scrum Master in an Agile software development environment.
- 10+ years of experience in Scrum, Kanban, and LeSS, Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe)
- Deep knowledge and 8+ years of experience with incorporating Agile metrics into team routines. (Velocity Variance, Burndown/Bumup charts, technical debts, Escaped defects, Blockers, Backlog health, Lead time, Cycle Time, Response Time, and Throughput)
- Scrum Master certification (CSM/PSM/SAFe Agilist)
- Tools - Jira, Confluence, Miro board, ServiceNow experience
- Able to flex their skill/experience to coach top down or bottom up within an organization and adapt to various audiences and situations. Highly Organized and Works well in a fast paced, fluid and dynamic environment
- Lead change initiatives and manage the transition processes for teams adopting Agile/Scrum practices. Develop strategies for dealing with resistance to Agile transformations at various levels of the organization.
