Description:IAM Hourly represented employees who
currently work at the main (Sunnyvale/Palo Alto)
unit, Santa Cruz, VAFB or Eastern Range facilities
must apply to open requisitions on Brass Ring to
be considered for the position.
Prepare and use all the tools such as IC lead formers, inserters & pullers, round nose
pliers and cutters and torque wrenches, and equipment including microscopes and flow
solder apparatus necessary to prep and install wire and state-of-the-art devices such as
integrated circuits, hybrid units, temperature sensors, discrete semiconductors and
connectors on single layer, multi layer and flexible printed circuits and terminal boards
where complete assembly information is available from models, pictorial drawings, hard
copy or electronic media assembly prints and wiring lists or where assistance is
available if needed. Wire subassemblies such as power supplies and converters
including interconnect wiring.
Perform checks such as continuity, isolation and component sorting where equipment
operations are reduced to pictorial settings and pre-selected readouts.
Perform rework/modifications where the same level of skill as indicated above is
required.
Use all the tools, equipment and facilities necessary to perform assigned tasks including
microscopes, flow solder facilities and special cleaning and storage units. Perform
related tasks such as lot data coding and traceability.
May perform Electronics Assembler duties.
Basic Qualifications:• Must possess the ready ability to use the hand tools such as strippers, cutters, round nose pliers, soldering devices, crimpers and wire wrap units required to meet certifications.
• Must be able to use standard math including conversion of fractions in common form and common fractions to decimal form and the ability to use related scales for component preparation.
• Must be able to read printed circuit assembly drawings in order to locate and orient components, perform identified sequence of processes and ensure proper handling and storage.
• Normally requires one year of experience utilizing the above referred to skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
Desired Skills:• Experience with soldering and other printed circuit card assembly skills
• Experience with crimping or other harness assembly skills
• Exposure to a production or laboratory environment.
• Ability to use the hand tools such as strippers, cutters, round nose pliers, soldering devices, and crimpers.
• Ability to use standard math including conversion of fractions in common form and common fractions to decimal form and the ability to use related scales for component preparation.
• Ability to read simple printed circuit assembly
drawings.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
The base range for this position in California is $17.56 - $33.63.
