Job Summary:
This is an entry level position designed to help Develop and Manage robust Category costing and price management tools in order to drive pricing and best cost management of supply base. In this role, you will Develop and manage efficient and sustainable analytical tools for Category space, which will require the ability to connect disparate data sets in order to drive business decisions. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving transformation projects and delivering commodity productivity price, value analysis or continuous improvement projects through use of the developed and managed costing models, tools, and processes. This position is required to sit in Davidson, NC.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage dynamic Category costing and price management tools for global supply base.
- Develop and manage analytical tools for Category team in order to evaluate should cost vs. supplier quotations and identify opportunities to improve total cost of ownership (TCO).
- Connect disparate data sets including ERP, PLM and CLM systems to enable cost model, pricing and RFQ evaluation management. May include use of Access, Excel, SQL (Query databases), Visual Basic (Macros).
- Support Category Managers in preparing requests for quotations (RFQ) and developing strategies for supplier negotiations and supplier selection including supplier communication and feedback
- Responsible for delivering commodity productivity through price, value analysis or continuous improvement projects & supporting regional/sector countermeasures.
- Plan and coordinate assigned projects, establish schedules and project parameters and set procedures to accomplish objectives. Track milestones and progress, provide insight to project risks and escalate project roadblocks appropriately.
- Communicate with stakeholders to discuss scope of project, deliverables, performance, and close-out as well as with other team members concerning problems, obstacles, issues, and information needs.
- Creates program status reviews for leadership to communicate project status and completion, opportunity identification and value propositions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Demonstrate competence in connecting disparate data sets and leveraging the raw system data to make business decisions
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Proficient in Powerpoint, SQL, Access, VBA or other query/scripting experience is a plus.
- Previous knowledge with procurement sourcing, consulting, buyer, project management and/or analyst experience is a plus
- Experience coordinating, facilitating discussions, consultation and conflict resolution skills
- Professional communication; both verbal and written are required.
- Limited Travel required

- Relationship Management – Creates collaborative environment with cross-functional partners, assures regular/appropriate two-way communication flow, builds/maintains relationship with industry peers and suppliers
