Trane Technologies is hiring an Associate Category Manager - Diversified inDavidson, NC! The Associate Category Manager will manage a segment of the hoses, rubber components, and seals categories. This is a fantastic opportunity for career development into Category Management.
Responsibilities:

Collaboration: Identify, engage and align with internal stakeholders to capture category requirements and ensure supplier qualification and quality;

Negotiations: Support negotiations and supplier selection; accountable for contract lifecycle management and compliance.

Cost Management: Responsible for delivering category productivity through price, value analysis (VA) or continuous improvement projects.

Supplier Management: Support supplier segmentation, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and quarterly supplier reviews for all strategic suppliers within category; Ensure creation of supplier profiles for all SRM suppliers.

Risk Management: Actively monitor and mitigate supplier risk including financial, capacity, quality, and compliance.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field.

2+ years of procurement / sourcing experience, ex: consulting, purchasing / buyer, and/or analyst experience.

Ability to assess vendors and demonstrated negotiating skills.

Demonstrated experience facilitating discussions and strong conflict resolution skills.

Professional communication; both verbal and written are required.
