Trane in Austin, TX is hiring an Area Contracting Manager. This Controls and Contracting leader is a critical member of our Regional leadership team and will play a key role in delivering on and achieving our goals and priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with and support sales teams in the discovery and development of new opportunities.
- Responsible for conducting employee reviews and ensuring performance objectives are met.
- Supports the Regional Contracting Manager in delivering business results and sharing department vision.
- Directly supervises assigned Contracting fulfillment personnel (HVAC Controls Project Managers)
- Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and assigned staff.
- “Owns the Business” by taking action to support the team and business.
- Reviews and validates contracts and estimates by performing risk analysis and developing risk plans.
- Confirms Trane’s ability to meet the project performance and financial requirements by obtaining and analyzing customer data, project data, and implementation issues prior to accepting the project.
- Leads the team as a safety professional to establish and maintain a work culture that makes safety priority #1.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college with concentrations in Business, Construction Management, or Engineering strongly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Related experience in leading teams.
- Ideally will possess working knowledge of HVAC, industrial and commercial systems and controls, as well as utilization of Energy Management Systems for system optimization and efficiencies.
- Ability to review and analyze financial reports to look for areas of improvement and growth.
- Demonstrated success in customer-facing roles such as Sales or Project Management.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to:
- DUI in the previous 5 years.
- Hit& Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
