Position Summary:
Typical tasks include installing/repairing equipment, performing overhauls, formulating plans for equipment moves/layout and making design improvements to machinery to prevent future problems. Maintains facilities parts inventory in accordance with business operating system.
Responsibilities:
- Makes mechanical and construction repairs and installation involving schematics and/or blueprint interpretation
- Troubleshoots related issues related to the building maintenance needs
- Determines root cause of failures and recommends preventative actions
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts
- Utilize computer maintenance management system to maintain equipment
- Communicates consistently with internal customers regarding status of equipment in shop
- Uses various material handling equipment such as hoist, carts, lifts, fork trucks
- Maintains a clean work area and ensures all tools are in good working order
- Follows all safety protocols while performing facilities duties
- Maintain grounds and all building systems equipment
- Maintain all plant plumbing systems
- Maintain plant HVAC systems
Skills:
- Must be able to work in fast-paced, team-oriented environment while handling multiple priorities
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision, with self-directed work skills
- Experience with electrical, welding, fabricating, plumbing, roofing, mechanical, structural repairs, etc.
- Install production equipment including cranes, welders, machine tools, racking, conveyors, etc.
- Must have good interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds in a team environment
- HVAC repairs and maintenance experience
Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED, College or Technical school desired
- 4 years Mechanical exp.; 2-3 yrs. electrical/electronic/mechanical/plumbing
- Minimum 9+ years manufacturing experience
- Pipe fitter
Other:
- Knowledge of building codes
- Knowledge Trane Technologies operating system
Base Pay Range (for Colorado Residents): $19.16 – $26.44
