Job Summary:
The Senior Data Security Specialist role will be instrumental in implementing and establishing security solutions in support of our Data Security initiatives that include Data Classification (DC), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and data discovery technologies as well as, working directly across multiple teams, management levels, disciplines, technologies, and business groups to enable Trane’s approach to risk-based information security.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Design and implement enterprise level Data Security solutions, including Data Classification and Data Loss Prevention technologies and processes
- Administration and configuration of Data Security tools including policy development, tuning, upgrades, patching, break-fix, and run& maintain operations
- Provides Level 3 support to security escalations generated by IT Security tools such as SIEM, DLP, IDS, as well as ad-hoc notifications
- Prepare status reports, weekly and monthly metrics, and maintain the data security governance program.
- Support Security Incident Response upon confirmation of a security incident in accordance with Enterprise Security Incident Response procedure
- Support vendors' activities and relationships
- Support security solutions and recommendations that resonate with the vision, strategy, and direction of the security program, and understand the value of communication for Data Security
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar discipline with an emphasis on cybersecurity
Key Competencies:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in working in IT Security, application & program development, or IT operations
- Minimum 3 years of experience in field of Data Loss Protection and Information Security
- Design and implementation experience with DC, DLP, CASB, and integration with various data sources and other security tools. Experience in handling policy management
- Design and implementation experience with Data classification tool such as Titus/Microsoft AIP
- Must have experience/knowledge about the architecture and all components of Symantec DLP and/or O365 DLP
- Experienced in performing programming and scripting tasks
- Preferred security certification such as SANS/ GIAC, CISSP, CISM, CGEIT or equivalent
- Highly technical skills and strong data protection experience is a must
- Results-oriented, with demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Effective stakeholder management skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to promote ideas, collaborate, and influence stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
