Trane is hiring a Sales Manager for either Commercial HVAC Systems or Services in Iowa! This position can be located in Davenport, Des Moines - or anywhere in between!
The qualified candidate will lead sales teams in multiple markets across Iowa and will primarily be responsible for the Systems or Services revenue stream, including Controls and Intelligent Services acquisition personnel in both Iowa commercial sales offices. The primary department will be determined based on the qualifications and expertise of the best and most qualified candidate - we are open to someone with either Commercial HVAC Systems or Service/Solutions Sales and Leadership experience!
This position requires physical presence and travel between Davenport and Des Moines sales offices. The selected candidate may reside near to either physical office or in a reasonable geography between the two offices.
The dynamic leader hired for this position will be responsible for developing an innovative sales organization focused on long term customer relationships, maximizing market share, share of customer, account penetration, market coverage, strong teamwork, and uplifting each other, our associates, our customers, and our communities. This person must partner and share responsibility for the Iowa P&L with the Area General Manager and department fulfillment leaders across the state.
Responsibilities:

Develop, manage, and achieve annual operating plans, sales objectives, and delivery of financial results for the sales offices including bookings goals, revenue, margin, and operating income.

Build and drive strategy for brand recognition, market coverage, market strategy, market penetration, market share, share of customer, new customer development, customer satisfaction, customer loyalty, and pricing.

Development and oversight of sales quotas, opportunity pipelines, bookings forecasts, utilization of Trane tools and systems, marketing and expense budgets and spend.

Assemble an inclusive, engaged, skilled and innovative sales culture committed to market and customer needs, sales strategies, expertise of Trane systems and offerings. Ownership of headcount planning, recruitment, training, and retention of diverse talent.

Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, company values, principles, and ethics.

Managing direct reports and indirect reports through matrix organization relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, business or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of related sales or sales leadership experience.
- Understanding of HVAC Systems, Controls, Services, Solutions, Service Agreements, and HVAC offerings is a plus.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to:
- DUI in the previous 5 years;
- Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
