Data can change the world! Trane Technologies seeks an experienced Data Manager to lead a diverse group of engineers and analysts supporting both advanced analytics and a self-service support team. In this new role, you will bring an innovative approach to data, as the company moves into the cloud environment to accelerate our data and analytics capabilities. As a player/coach, you will provide technical thought leadership to the team, and have hands-on-keyboard when needed.

Responsibilities:
- Lead a technical team to provide easily accessible data to the business to improve analytics and insights.
- Bring cloud experience and innovative thinking to data pipeline development, data mart creation, and self-service analytics support.
- Partner with business unit and enterprise IT to determine priorities and ensure alignment with overall strategy and best-practices.
- Assess and bring in new data sources to support self-service and advanced analytics work
- Work directly with advanced analytics/visualization team on data structure to support and enhance sophisticated Tableau dashboards
- Consider future support requirements when designing data marts and data sets to ensure supportable environment into the future
- Develop expertise in Residential and Supply data. Understand source systems, and Residential/Supply specific attributes required by the business for meaningful analysis
- Seek out the simple and elegant solutions
- Develop metrics to track improvements and proactively identify new issues.
- Coach and mentor team members to grow technical and professional skills.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in computer science, MIS, analytics, engineering or similar
- 7+ years of experience in technical roles
- 3+ years in team lead or management role of a technical team
- Knowledge of distributed computing or relational data systems such as Oracle or similar
- Advanced SQL skills and knowledge of Python
- Experienced with Cloud environments, preferably AWS
- Knowledge of Git or other version control tools and a commitment to collaboration and code sharing
- Familiarity with Alteryx and Tableau preferred.
- Knowledge of ETL design for efficient data movement
- Strong communication skills –able to convey complex concepts to technical and business teams in a simple and understandable way.
- Agile experience a plus.

Base Pay Range (for Colorado Residents): $82,000-$170,500
