Job Summary：
Make complex set ups on a wide variety of tool room machinery to make, both manual and NC, modify and repair a variety of parts for tools, jigs, fixtures, dies, plant equipment, etc. Work from drawings, sketches, samples, verbal instructions, etc. to produce parts to close tolerances when necessary. Make sketches of modifications made to parts for print updating purposes. Perform related duties and work with a minimum of supervision.
Responsibilities:
Must evidence ability in shop math, including trigonometry. Must be able to make complex set ups on a variety of tool room machinery. Must have demonstrated performance and ability to perform work of a difficult nature, as evaluated at six-month intervals by a formal appraisal conducted by the production leader and/or apprenticeship coordinator. Will use their own hand tools and small measuring equipment, micrometers, calipers, etc. May be required to demonstrate knowledge and ability to perform the above.
Qualifications:
Graduate apprentice or minimum six (6) years documented equivalent experience with a variety of equipment, plus one year practical related experience or two years of tool room experience as a TR25 Toolmaker “C”.
