Purpose:
- Prepares plans, layouts and designs with supporting calculations for specifications.
- Analyzes a customer’s technical needs, suggests solutions, resolves implementation problems and conducts user training.
- Supplies staff with drafting and estimating information to assist with the production of detailed drawings, the development of tools, quantities, materials purchased and equipment for conformity with specifications.
- Assists in the preparation of technical detail for sales inquiries, quotations, contract documentation, technical literature or in the analysis of failures following customer complaints.
- Participates in the planning of projects as required.
Communication:
Liaise with suppliers, clients, consultants or commissioning engineers concerning the design, installation, construction and commissioning of assigned work.
Contribution:
This role play a vital role in the sales process by providing technical advice to the sales team to develop, sell, and successfully implement product or service solutions that will meet the customer’s needs.
