Trane Commercial HVAC has an exciting opportunity for an Energy Solutions Project Developer in Springdale, AR! As a Project Developer, you will be supporting one of the most challenging and fastest growing career fields, Trane Energy Services. This role includes working with internal teams and customers to identify and develop turnkey design-build solutions and energy savings contracting projects including scope of work development, cost estimating, energy savings analysis and proposal support as part of an industry leading Energy Services Company (ESCO). A career with an ESCO demands not only a knowledge of building systems and the energy engineering field, but also requires strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills coupled with the will, determination, work ethic and a desire to succeed.
The Project Developer is responsible for Acquisition Support of both Design-Build Turnkey and Energy Performance Contracting project work. This position requires mastery of acquisition, technical aptitude and project management skills. Knowledge of computerized energy simulation tools is considered a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly execute the Project Acquisition process for Design-Build opportunities.
- Ability to audit existing mechanical and building systems and recommend solutions to improve.
- Ability to understand construction methods/practices and communicate and direct subcontractors in an effort to obtain critical proposal information.
- Ability to use appropriate manner, personality, and outlook to effectively work with customers to solve their problems. Selling skills a plus, but not necessary.
- Knowledgeable and skilled in Project Management processes.
- Continually validate the effectiveness of the Design-Build Turnkey and ESPC processes and identify and develop improvements.
- Responsible for secured customers from Project Development through project transition.
- Building Performance / Energy Modeling experience for large commercial buildings is preferred.
- Working knowledge and experience with HVAC and related controls and electrical systems
- Must have a strong field presence and customer facing skills
- Working knowledge of cost and savings studies incorporating energy conversation measures.
- Working knowledge of energy rebate programs, desirable.
- Familiarity with utility tariffs and utility bill analysis is also preferred
- Provide sound "Business Judgement" weighing risk and reward in conjunction with the District Leadership Team.
- Ability to meet short-and long-term deadlines.
- Effectively meet the needs of internal and external customers.
- Ability to work regularly and dependably as well as function in a team environment.
- Some travel required, other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Four-year degree in Engineering, Technical or Business Required.
- Energy or Systems/HVAC/Controls background.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in owner-direct acquisitions role.
- Minimum of 5 years Project Management experience.
- Minimum of 8 -10 years in HVAC/Systems/Controls experience
- Minimum of 5 year in Performance Contracting/ESCO experience.
