Job Summary:
Responsible for executing the purchased material planning processes as well as scheduling production and planning customer order fulfillment within a remanufacturing environment. The scope includes placing purchase orders, following up with suppliers to ensure on time delivery of product to production assembly lines and/or service parts, issuing work orders to production and planning/coordinating finished goods shipments. Provides other support to production, materials, finance, and management as required.
Responsibilities:
- Plans all purchased component parts within responsibility area. Make decisions to release, firm, cancel, or defer work based upon current inventory, demand, and capacity. Responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels to support production plan. Works with suppliers to expedite or defer materials as dictated by changes in internal and external customer requirements and to meet production and inventory objectives and ensure on time deliveries.
- Plans Service Parts requirements for purchased common material to meet external customers variable demand as well as production demand.
- Schedules finished goods production and shipment, maintains promise dates for sales orders and meets OTS (on Time Shipping) goals.
- Facilitates problem resolutions with Accounts Payable related to purchase orders/ invoicing and pricing.
- Maintains accurate purchase order information in the ERP system. Modifies order release due dates, quantities, promise dates and closes purchase orders based on planning demand.
- Represents Production Planning and Analysis at various meetings and relays related information to production planning and analysis staff. Collects information, complies into standard formats, prepares monthly reports and other management reports as requires.
- Maintains required data and analytics to successfully lead assigned MDI meetings.
- Participate in or lead assigned projects to completion.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Business, Global Integrated Supply Chain or other applicable degreed program or 10 years of industry experience
- 3 years of experience working in the industrial manufacturing company
- Advanced in Microsoft Office Products
