Job Summary:
The Trane residential HVAC facility in Trenton, NJ is seeking a Material Control Manager. The Material Control Manager is responsible for the planning, organizing, and controlling of the receiving and raw material warehouse, inventory control, material flow within the Trenton site along with maximizing productivity on all shifts and areas. In addition, this position is accountable for warehouse inventory accuracy and cycle counting routines to drive accurate perpetual records on the material stored in the warehouse and leads our Replacement Parts Service Process.
Responsibilities:

Ensures safety/operational guidelines are met

Recommends improvements to drive productivity within the department
-
Implement and maintain standard work across the functions
-
Drive continuous improvement activities in all functional areas
-
Plan short and long-term objectives for the materials control function
-
Ensure timely unloading, receiving, storage and delivery of material to the production areas
-
Maintain and control of receiving documents
-
Ensure resolution of receipt discrepancies with material planning team/finance
-
Maintains inventory and product loss control, coordinates timely and accurate receiving
-
Maintain cycle count standard work goals with the objective of maintaining cycle count certification

Maintain and issue inventory reporting, including inventory accuracy, cycle count metrics and scrap processing

Ensure up-to-date ABC classification is maintained for planning and cycle counts

Drives improvement of our RAW and WIP inventory accuracy

Evaluate the warehouse activities for accuracy and quality
-
Ensure that problems relating to line side delivery are resolved in a timely manner

Plan/optimize space for Support New Product Development, VAVE (cost reduction/projects)

Manage the Phase In/Phase Out of material

Lead the replacement part process/team that fulfills orders for our repair, replacement, kits, and accessories
Qualifications:

BS degree required, Supply Chain or Engineering degree preferred

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

2+ years of managerial experience preferred

Experience in operations, inventory management, and lean manufacturing processes

Computer proficient with Microsoft Office, strong excel capability

Experience with Oracle R12 preferred

APICS (CPIM) certification preferred
