Job Summary:
Manages resource and scheduling activities associated with service work with direct responsibility for project/job execution. Responsible for coordination with other business streams and service acquisition group to ensure process compliance and fulfillment. Accountable for assigned projects’ scope of work, schedule, and budget.
- Accountable for daily and weekly coordination of resources to ensure projects/agreements are prioritized properly to meet customer expectations and office goals/metrics.
- Works with Service Manager and or Area Service Manager for timely completion of assigned projects and customer satisfaction.
- Plans and analyzes assigned projects, establishes schedules and project parameters and sets procedures to accomplish system objectives, involving service applications.
- Communicates with customers and their representatives, including building owners, mechanical contractors, other trades, subcontractors, and field support staff.
- Interfaces with other streams to ensure key integration processes occur including but not limited to systems to service linkage, timely renewal of service agreements and BAS to Service.
- Post Estimate transition examines reviews and validates estimates and scope of work by performing job/scope analysis and safety/risk analysis.
- Ensures compliance with internal service processes, including responsibility for Contract Compliance for the assigned scope of work.
- Responsible for managing project costs and maintaining accurate forecasted costs through job completion and close out
- Creates and makes revisions to job schedules including: generating tasks, estimates, dependencies;
- Oversees the following: preparation of Trane material and vendor orders; recording the receipt of materials and approving payments.
- Coordinates scheduling work with owners.
- Ensures that quality standards are maintained for assigned projects.
- Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and assigned staff.
- Establishes a professional relationship with the customer and interfaces constantly to maintain accurate status reports and project reviews.
- Obtains acceptance and timely sign-off of the project by the customer.
- Responsible for the successful transition of warranty to the service process.
- Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required.
- Some travel with occasional overnight stays. (10 %)
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Project Management, Construction Management, Building Sciences, Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred, or applicable experience and education considered.
- Working knowledge of office equipment and Microsoft Office products.
- Familiarity with the operation of Energy Management Systems, HVAC Systems and/or Temperature Controls preferred.
- This position works occasionally in a typical office environment with regular visits to job sites which includes outdoor work and work in mechanical/equipment rooms. During the job site visits, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
