A Day in the Life of a Production Associate
As a Production Associate, you will start your day by receiving instructions from the shop order card or verbally from your supervisor. You’ll then spend your day disassembling compressors and processing the parts to make them useable again as reman parts. The disassembling process includes removing, cleaning, verifying, and packaging all components for refurbishing. Other duties may include completing required information for the data collection of yields and efficiencies. Each day is an opportunity to exceed our dealer and customer expectations, thus contributing to the overall success of our company!
What you need to be Successful at Thermo King
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- A High School Diploma or GED
- To be at least 18 years of age
- To be able to lift and move up to 40 lbs. repeatedly
- To be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
- To be able to use your hands and fingers to disassemble small parts
It’d be great if you also have:
- Previous manufacturing, assembly/disassembly, and/or compressor experience
- Previous experience using go/no go gauges, parts washer, gauge wrench, pallet jacks, and hoists
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- The ability to be at work in a prompt and reliable fashion, demonstrating a cooperative and respectful work style and operating in adherence with all quality, safety, and other policies.
- A willingness to go above and beyond job specific tasks associated with the position to ensure the continual success of the entire factory operation
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday through Friday 7:00am-3:30pm. If overtime exists, the shift will start one hour earlier at 6:00am.
