Description: Follow prescribed procedures to receive, ship, check, record, store, issue and expedite all parts, materials, and equipment related to GFE.
Load and unload freight from trucks, check all shipments received for proper number of boxes,
pieces, etc., and visually inspect items for damage.
Establish priorities (i.e., shortages) and react immediately to provide urgently needed items.
Prepare and process all related paperwork using computer systems including GIMS, SAR, SAP etc.
Preserve, pack and create shipping labels for parts, components and materials that need to be shipped to customer.
Store incoming items in proper sequence and location.
Coordinate with other departments to expedite urgently needed items.
Foresee and recognize the need for corrective action and apprize supervision of situations needing
corrective action.
Keep storeroom neat, clean and orderly at all times.
Check shipments received for proper number of boxes, packages, or pieces, complete delivery receipts, and move material from unloading areas.
Open shipments to check packing slips against contents, hand count, weight or measure items received to verify quantity and description.
Check Purchase Order against packing slip.
Prepare and check all paperwork necessary to distribute items.
Create shipping paperwork, manifests etc.
Perform temporary off plant store keeping assignments as required. ·
Assist in taking inventories and perform other duties usually of a related nature such as using forklift transport heavy or bulky materials.
Perform operator checklist as required.
Contribute to the overall effectiveness of equipment by performing operator required upkeep.
Follow all rules and regulations pertaining to environmental health and safety.
Segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices.
Refer only unusual conditions to Working Leader or supervisor.
Basic Qualifications:Requires a well-rounded knowledge of material control functions, covering both shop and storeroom activities in order to plan own work but receiving, storing, expediting and issuing parts and materials. Must interpret parts
breakdown book an index of various interrelationships between assemblies and detail parts for company, vendor and GFE materials.
1 to 2 years or equivalent Sikorsky experience.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
