Overview:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Referral Intake Specialist to join our infusion pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of incoming referrals and referral processing procedures, benefits verification, customer service, and be proficient in various medical software systems.
Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Collect and verify patient demographic, insurance and clinical information and keep track of referrals during the referral process
- Schedule infusion appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all aspects of the job
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
- Assist with maintaining accurate patient records
Qualifications:
- Previous experience with incoming referral process, medical office and/or their benefits department and speaking with insurance companies
- Proficiency in medical office procedures and terminology
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of infusion services a plus

Pay: $49,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
