Currently, based in Dallas, Texas, Discovery Point Retreat recently secured new financing from Eagle Capital Health Ventures and Prospect Capital. An expanded and entrepreneurial team is now actively working to build a multi-state presence.
Position Overview
**Candidate must reside in Dallas (or close surrounding area within a reasonable commute), or in Southern NJ (Lakewood, NJ)**
The Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) will play a crucial role in driving financial strategy and decision-making at Discovery Point Retreat. Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the CEO and senior management team, this position will be instrumental in shaping the financial future of our rapidly expanding organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning and Forecasting
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models and forecasts
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasts
- Analyze variances between actual and Plan results, providing insights and recommendations
2. Performance Analysis and Reporting
- Prepare and present regular financial reports and KPIs for senior management and the Board of Directors
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial and operational metrics across multiple locations
- Identify trends, opportunities, and risks to support strategic decision-making
3. Strategic Support
- Provide financial analysis and support for strategic initiatives, including expansion plans and new service offerings
- Collaborate with department heads to develop financial strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Assist in evaluating potential mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships
4. Process Improvement
- Continuously enhance financial planning and analysis processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Implement best practices in financial modeling and forecasting
- Leverage technology to automate and streamline reporting and analysis
5. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Finance, Operations, and other departments to ensure data integrity and alignment of financial information
- Partner with IT to improve financial systems and data infrastructure
- Support the CFO in investor relations and external reporting activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
- 2+ years of Investment Banking as preference to profile
- 5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, must have experience working with multi-sites in the healthcare industry
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in financial modeling and forecasting
- Proficiency in advanced Excel, financial planning software, and business intelligence tools
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
