FedEx Crossdock Customer Service associate position requires the following skills:
To perform and oversee the daily operations of the customer supply chain cross dock operation in compliance with customer SCS and Great Lakes policies and procedures. Job responsibilities include the daily receipt of inbound materials, temperature control requirements document controls, report management, and assisting with the outbond process for the materials.
Responsibilities:
1.Open facility and customer cross dock at the required daily times.
2. Check temperatures and to temperature recording device downloads, complete daily manual temperature logs. Email temperature downloads to customer dispatch prior to start of activity. Report any and all temperature variances to customer dispatch immediately.
3. Set up the customer driver & visitor check in log daily. Check emails for any updated information from customer dispatch operations.
4.Verify driver ID and paperwork, verify seals on all inbound trucks before doors are opened.
5. Perform downloads of temperature recording devices prior to unloading inbound trucks, report variances immediately and wait for resolution.
6. Inspect the trucks note and photograph any damage or issues. Unload, count, and verify pallet counts for each truck prior to signing off on driver documents. Scan and bar code inbound materials as required.
Outbounds-
7. Stage freight in the appropriate staging lanes for the outbound trucks to load. Assist as needed with the outbound loading process.
8. Upon completion of the inbound/outbound process count and verify all held freight, secure it and lock/alarm the cage.
9.Email the inbound truck temperature downloads to customer dispatch, complete daily cross dock report. File save and manage all documents and records per requirements.
10. Communicate daily with customer dispatch as to issues and upcoming tasks.
11. Customer emergency call outs and Great Lakes alarm service call outs
Job Requirements:
1. Good communication skills with the ability to work with driver and costumer service associates and management.
2. Computer skills including familiarity with Word, Excel, Email, document scanning and other required computer programs.
3. Good forklift driving skills an the ability to perform light labor when required.
4. Familiarity with Barcode/ RF Scanning system is a plus.
5. Dependability to be at work and on time without frequent absences and or tardiness.
6. Ability to pass a background check to support having Key authority for both Great Lakes and the customer SCS operations.
7. Flexibility of work hours to accommodate the normal work week activity and seasonal holiday and weekend activities.
8. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work with customer staff, drivers and with co-workers/ mnt on site.
9. Good organizational and time management skills.
10. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and make decisions as needed.
11. Ability to follow procedure and the detail involved.
12. Flexibility and willingness to service after hours emergency call outs by customer or Great Lakes Alarm services.
13. Must be able to work in cold environments.
Job hours-
General hours for the customer Operation are as follows.
Monday through Friday 5:30am 2:00pm, as requested by customer Holidays and most major holidays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
