Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Water/Wastewater Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure projects while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards. This role requires proficiency in various engineering software and a strong understanding of civil engineering principles.
Alaimo Group seeks an individual with a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in water/wastewater engineering, modeling and design for our main office in Mount Holly, NJ. Design and coordination responsibilities for municipal and county utility authorities in water and wastewater treatment, collection, and distribution systems. B.S./M.S. in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering required. New Jersey licensed P.E. preferred. Candidates should be self-starters with good communication skills. This is a full time position with strong benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Develop and design civil engineering projects including roadways, bridges, and water treatment facilities.
- Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MicroStation, and GIS for project design and documentation.
- Conduct site inspections to assess construction progress and ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate system design into overall project plans.
- Perform hydraulic modeling and analysis using HEC software for wastewater treatment systems.
- Prepare detailed reports, plans, and specifications for construction projects.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in project meetings with stakeholders to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions.
Requirements
- NJ Professional Engineering License
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as Bluebeam, MicroStation, and GIS is preferred.
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment and water treatment processes is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform system design tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to conduct construction inspections and ensure quality control on projects.
- A valid engineering license or the ability to obtain one is a plus.
