The Role
We are seeking an aspiring people leader to lead the Chassis / Active Thermal Service Release Engineering Team within GAE. The person in this role will be responsible for leading team members and projects that develop, validate, and implement common serviceability specifications and service part release across multiple vehicle platforms. This includes resolving technical issues and ensuring ongoing part availability for customer vehicles, while representing Aftersales Engineering within the Global Vehicle Development Process. Join and lead a team of collaborative and passionate problem solvers, while getting to partner with design engineers, technical specialists, validation engineers, integration engineers and fellow service teams to achieve world class designs and serviceability!
What You'll Do

Engineering, validation/verification, and release of Original Equipment level parts to service GM vehicles

Support service parts for vehicle launches and reduce back orders impacting customers by resolving engineering issues

Proactively handle engineering tasks and participate in multi-functional team projects to support customer retention and profit goals

Create/sign-off on Engineering Change Requests, engineering deviations, drawings, validation/verification plans, and engineering requirements

Create and release service parts in accordance with service criteria and service systems

Investigate supersession and de-proliferation opportunity of existing service parts

Project Management and leadership of projects with full accountability and clear mentorship/support
