The Financial Crimes Risk Management Wealth & Investment Management (WIM) Business Advisory team is looking for two talented individuals to join the team. One will focus on the oversight related to the Banking, Lending & Trust (BL&T) financial crimes program, processes, controls and systems and one will focus on the oversight related to risk assessment activities (including product risk), as well as Issue Management.
In this role, you will:In the role focused on oversight related to the Banking, Lending & Trust (BL&T) financial crimes program, processes, controls and systems you will:
- Review and challenge financial crimes policy implementation activities completed by the first line WIM financial crimes team
- Advise WIM business groups on the execution of due diligence processes and controls and interpret financial crimes policies, guidelines and governance programs
- Provide subject matter expertise on due diligence documentation requirements and data sources
- Provide second line review and approval of heightened customer risk reviews
- Assist with oversight and challenge activities, as applicable, for the WIM annual enterprise-wide BSA/AML/Global Sanctions and ABC risk assessments
- Work with issue and corrective action owners to ensure that the corrective actions, and underlying work, address the identified financial crimes risks through all phases of the corrective action
In the role focused on the oversight related to risk assessment activities (including product risk), as well as Issue Management you will:
- Provide review and challenge of WIM-owned product risk assessments completed by the first line WIM financial crimes team, including new business initiatives (NBI) product assessments, product inherent risk assessment tool (PIRAT), and targeted risk assessments.
- Assist with oversight and challenge activities, as applicable, for the WIM annual enterprise-wide BSA/AML/Global Sanctions and ABC risk assessments.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting supporting the enterprise risk management framework for financial crimes risks impacting WIM, including but not limited to, the enterprise risk identification and assessment (ERIA), risk measurement program (RMP) and key risk indicators (KRIs).
- Track all financial crimes-related issues and corrective actions applicable to WIM and provide applicable reporting on progress internally to the WIM Business Advisory Leader and to other various stakeholders, including WIM Risk, WIM Compliance, and FCRM.
- Work with issue and corrective action owners to ensure that the corrective actions, and underlying work, address the identified financial crimes risks through all phases of the corrective action.
- Review and provide feedback to the Issue Summary memo and supporting documentary evidence prior to finalization.
- Prepare materials and provide updates, when needed, regarding WIM Issue Management.
- Work with the first line WIM financial crimes team to identify financial crimes risks in newly opened issues and corrective actions.
- Advise the WIM first line when potential financial crimes risks and issues are identified
In both roles you will:
- Participate in financial crimes exam management activities (e.g. audit, independent testing and validation, evidence-based control effectiveness testing, and regulatory exams) involving WIM
- Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within functional area and contribute to large-scale planning related to functional area deliverables
- • Investigate, research, examine, and report complex financial crimes transactions, policy violations and suspicious situations with high levels of risk
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of relevant policies, procedures, processes and internal controls
- Perform investigative research, root cause assessment and consulting regarding highly complex financial crimes transactions, policy violations and suspicious situations with moderate to high risk
- Perform detailed examination to detect transactional and relationship patterns, trends, anomalies and schemes across multiple businesses or products
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet deliverables
- Partner closely with leadership to develop strategies to minimize financial crime portfolio risk through innovative methods with the ultimate goal of maximizing profits
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:- 4+ years of Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Fraud, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery, Corruption experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:- AML/CFT and sanctions compliance background (or other financial crimes experience)
- Experience related to Financial Crimes Banking, Lending & Trust (BL&T) program and due diligence
- Knowledge and experience related to Financial Crimes Policies, Risk Management policy
- Banking and brokerage experience
- Knowledge and understanding of controls
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, economics, criminal science, or applied sciences a plus
- Knowledge of financial crimes related typologies
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills (written and verbal) with a proven ability to interact effectively with stakeholders as well as across various management levels within an organization
- Ability to think strategically and pivot between multiple priorities with a focus on work product/outcomes
- Experience in a consulting or similar environment in which the candidate has proven success in managing multiple priorities with competing deadlines
- Ability to provide high-quality deliverables in a condensed time period
- Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills with proven ability to turn findings into executable plans
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, SharePoint, and other applications
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment
- Knowledge of the FFIEC Exam Manual, and CAMS certification a plus (or other financial crimes certifications)

$84,000.00 - $149,400.00
