Lead, Software Engineer, The Prudential Insurance Company of America, Newark, NJ:
Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing Teams, UX designers, other technology, and architecture teams to develop quality front-end applications in an agile environment. Create prototypes and POCs (Proof of Concept) to validate, promote, and define the technology strategies. Use industry-standard tools and components to achieve a high throughput of code. Review stories to ensure that they are accurate and actionable. Estimate the effort required to complete the feature or features described in the story. Write tests using the TDD development method and write code to pass the test written in the TDD. Participate in the daily SCRUM with the rest of the development team. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure the feature is bug-free and ready for deployment. Participate in the release process at the end of the sprint. Participate in the post-sprint retroactive to identify what improvements can be made to the process during the upcoming sprint. Participate in code reviews, both peer-to-peer and team code reviews. Work closely with the cross-BUs and Tech Teams. Conduct emergency production-level troubleshooting.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience; OR a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, and 3 years of related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:
- JS libraries and Frameworks, including NodeJS, JSON, Angular, RxJs, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5;
- Development tooling, including, Webpack, Grunt, Gulp, and Git-based Source Control Systems; and
- NPM (Node Package Manager).
