Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm
Salary: $75,000 to $95,000 per year

What will you do?
- Address and resolve technical tickets assigned to the SOC Team.
- Serve as the SOC Team’s technical expert, providing guidance and support to junior team members.
- Automating tasks with PowerShell or Command Line scripts.
- Implement and remediate vulnerability fixes for Firewalls, Servers, and Cloud Infrastructure.
- Conduct regular audits of toolset deployment for both our internal systems and those of our clients.
- Respond to escalated security incidents from junior team members, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
- Participate in weekly SOC Team meetings to discuss operational changes, address issues, and align on company goals.
- Perform upgrades and maintenance for SOC-related toolsets.
- Conduct annual Disaster Recovery testing for internal systems and client networks.
- Engage in Security Risk Assessments and Penetration Testing to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Maintain, monitor, and restore backups for our systems and client environments.
- Develop expertise in our Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) platform to become the primary contact for related issues.
- Monitor and optimize network performance to ensure reliability, enhance security, and minimize downtime.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior staff, fostering skill development and collaboration within the team.
- Accurately document processes, workflows, and resolutions to enhance knowledge sharing and operational efficiency.
- Perform on-call duties as required by Snap Tech after-hours on a rotating schedule.
Qualifications
Essential Experience:
- At least 4 years of combined experience in systems engineering including expertise in networking infrastructure, server infrastructure, and cloud services.
- Basics of PowerShell and Command Line Scripting
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with backup management processes and disaster recovery strategies.
- Basic understanding of security principles and tools, with a strong interest in developing expertise in security-related tasks.
- Certifications (any of these) are preferred but not required.
- Microsoft Azure, AWS, or equivalent cloud certifications.
- Microsoft Server certification
- Network certifications such as CCNA or equivalent.
- Entry-level security certifications like CompTIA Security+
