ABOUT THE ROLE
As a CBRE Building Engineer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment for complex commercial HVAC systems by conducting proactive performance testing and ongoing scheduled maintenance. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining RO Water Systems and associated equipment.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Perform maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems. Keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards.
Maintain and repair RO, DI / WFI and associated pumps, filters, and equipment. Knowledge of steam systems.
Follow applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
Maintain an energy management program. Ensure systems operate efficiently.
Assist with implementation of a preventive maintenance program to ensure building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life. Perform emergency repairs as needed.
Follow departmental policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
Inspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and environmental conditions set by client.
Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
